Is it necessary to use a sealer on my paver deck, and if so, what will it look like?

It is not necessary to use sealer at all. However, sealer does help to resist stain penetration and certain sealers will enhance and deepen the color of the paver. We recommend you test any sealer you are considering using, on a hidden area or on an extra paver and follow the manufacturer directions for application. This will allow you to see the effects of the sealer to the appearance of the paver and to its slipperiness for safety.

What is the benefit of Artistic Pavers vs. a concrete deck?

Our pavers are a segmental paving system, which allows for expansion and contraction without producing surface cracks, unlike monolithic concrete surfaces and stamped concrete, which cracks very easily. Each paver is factory pressed which produces a paver that averages over 9,000 pounds per square inch (PSI). This makes our paver extremely durable and less porous than poured concrete.

Are Artistic Pavers easy to install?

Pavers are simply laid on sand and require no grouted joints, no mortar and most important, no poured concrete sub-base which will increase your cost heavily and can cause severe delays in the completion of your finished pool deck.

Is it easy for my family to stub their feet on the deck?

Our Pavers are made with a special beveled edge around the perimeter of the product. This allows for each paver to match up together with a slightly lowered edge. Not only does this feature give the product a finished look, but it also helps in preventing any of the pieces from sticking up which allows for tripping.

Can I use Artistic Pavers to create other things besides my pool deck?

Yes! What are some of the advantages of having a pressed paver vs. a dry (block-type) paver?

A pressed paver is less porous than a standard paver. This allows for a more detailed surface that gives a wet-cast look without the hassles, such as holes that can break up the pattern, as well as allow for algae accumulation. By having a pressed paver, it also lessens the sand paper effect that you can get with dry (block-type) pavers.
